UK Efficiency & Productivity Analysis Network
The Network aims to: • further develop research and scholarship in the field of efficiency and productivity analysis, particularly the use of mathematical programming and econometric methods in measuring the performance of producers of public services, industrial outputs, and other forms of economic activity. • establish links between the UKEPAN and other relevant networks. • bring together clusters of researchers in theme areas, in order to exchange results of ongoing work and develop new research initiatives. • bring the latest developments in the area to the attention of researchers, and to bring the latest research results to those in the policy-making process. • stimulate PhD research in efficiency and productivity analysis by demonstrating a wide range of models and applications.

CEPA - Centre for Efficiency and Productivity Analysis in University of New England
The Centre for Efficiency and Productivity Analysis (CEPA) was established in 1995. It is located in the School of Economic Studies at the University of New England. The main purpose of the Centre is to provide a focal point for research, consultancy and training in efficiency and productivity analysis in Australia and the Asia/Pacific Region. The staff of the Centre are involved in all aspects of efficiency and productivity analysis, including firm-level, industry-level, and international comparisons, in both private and government sectors. Measurement methods used include: index numbers, data envelopment analysis (DEA), stochastic frontiers and econometric production models.

CMTE (Centre for Management of Technology and Entrepreneurship)
In a world where structures are changing rapidly, it is vital for firms to monitor their performance continuously. Although considerable academic research has been devoted to the development of effective analysis techniques for determining best practices, and measuring efficiency, the results have not found their way to the decision-makers' desks. As a response to these conditions, the CMTE has undertaken an exciting research program focused on the application of these techniques to real problems facing the Canadian Financial Services Industry. The program's ultimate goal is to develop practical methodologies and computational tools that managers and analysts will truly use to monitor and enhance various aspects of their firm's performance.

Data Envelopment Analysis for Consultants Michael Trick
Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is an increasingly popular management tool. This write-up is an introduction to Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) for people unfamiliar with the technique. For a more in-depth discussion of DEA, the interested reader is referred to Seiford and Thrall [1990] or the seminal work by Charnes, Cooper, and Rhodes [1978].

The following is a bibliography of papers related to DEA. It is not complete but I am working on adding more listings.

Degree-track or stand-alone courses on DEA and stochastic
frontier methods
The courses are derivered residentially at weekends at Aston
University, Birmingham, UK. They can be used as stand-alone training
courses or to build up credit for a post-graduate qualification

Health Care Management Science (HCMS)
Health Care Management Science (HCMS) is an interdisciplinary journal which promotes systems thinking and provides a single forum for researchers and practitioners of health care services and management to exchange ideas and elucidate important developments. The aim is to disseminate knowledge rapidly across traditional disciplinary boundaries

Holger Scheel's Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA)
Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) is a family of methods for efficiency measurement. This page contains some software related links, datasets, and information about my research. For general information about DEA you may have a look at the following DEA WWW pages:

Improving discrimination in Data Envelopment Analysis: PCA-DEA software
PCA_DEA is a computer program for Windows (based on MATLAB code) which computes Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) relative efficiency measures. It may be useful if there are a relatively large number of variables with respect to observations and discrimination between efficient and inefficient decision making units (DMU’s) is problematic. The explanation about combining DEA and PCA methodologies can be find in Adler and Golany (2001, 2002, 2007) and Adler and Yazhemsky (2007). If you have questions which are not answered in the following paragraphs or if you have suggestions for further developments, send an email to msnic@huji.ac.il

This organization is composed of researchers doing work in the area of productivity analysis. This site contains information on the organization, a membership list, guides, and a newsletter

Performance Management Research
The group's research focus is on the quantitative methods of comparative performance measurement. The basic problem addressed concerns the measurement of the productive efficiency of homogeneous operating units such as bank branches, schools, retail outlets or government agencies. One approach to this problem is by means of the linear programming based method of Data Envelopment Analysis, (DEA). The group is researching mainly the theory and application of DEA but also other methods of comparative performance measurement including econometric methods such as OLS regression and Stochastic Frontier methods.

PIM DEA software
Performance Improvement Management Software (PIM DEASoft-V1) has been developed by Dr Ali Emrouznejad & Professor Emmanual Thanssoulis

The EURO Working Group on Data Envelopment Analysis and Performance Measurement (Euro-DEAPM)
The EURO Working Group on Data Envelopment Analysis and Performance Measurement (Euro-DEAPM) provides an excellent opportunity to discuss recent and important issues in these fields both in theory and practice.

The Productivity Analysis Group of Schulich School of Business
We are a research team from York University. We use Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) as a technique for evaluating the relative efficiency of Decision Making Units. DEA is a technique that is increasingly popular nowadays in efficiency analysis and benchmark setting. Hereafter is the content of this Web site.
