SPECIAL ISSUE OF THE JOURNAL OF PRODUCTIVITY ANALYSIS

Applications and Application-Motivated Developments in Productivity Analysis

Editors of the Special Issue
Professor E. Thanassoulis Joint Editor of JPA
Dr Victor Podinovski Guest Editor of the Special Issue

It is expected that a Special Issue of JPA will be published subject to the normal review processes of the Journal. Authors presenting their research at the Symposium are invited to submit their full papers for consideration.
We especially welcome papers on applications of DEA and econometric methods. In particular this includes those which either offer a new insight into the workings of the area of application or offer new methodological advances or adaptations of DEA or econometric models motivated by the application. Other papers in the field of productivity and efficiency analysis will also be considered but preference will be given to those conforming to the main theme of the Special Issue. If we are unable to accommodate an otherwise excellent paper, it will be recommended for publication in a regular issue of the Journal.
The manuscripts should be prepared according to the normal requirements published by the Journal of Productivity Analysis. In a cover letter, which should be sent electronically together with the paper, you may wish to outline briefly the main contributions of your paper to the field. This will help the editors with the preliminary evaluation of your paper and selection of the referees. Please also assure the editors that the paper is not under consideration elsewhere.
The deadline for submissions is December 31, 2004. All papers should be sent in an electronic form via e-mail to Professor Emmanuel Thanassoulis. Please use the following address when submitting a paper: e.thanassoulis@aston.ac.uk
Thank you and we look forward to receiving your paper.

Dr Victor Podinovski and Prof. Emmanuel Thanassoulis.
